Weaving was the main livelihood of the couple. They make beautiful and intricate designs of cloths. The couple both came from a family of great weavers. It didn’t come as a surprise that Amba was taught how to weave and she excelled in it.

All of them wanted to ask for his daughter’s hand in marriage and yet the king was very fastidious. He wanted his daughter to marry the son of a fellow god or a mortal of noble blood. The king was never satisfied.

Her beauty was renowned in all the towns, barrios and even far beyond the shores of the Philippines. Her eyes captured the gaze of many admirers whenever they saw her. Her long flowing black hair, blood red lips and fair skin has made many a young man swoon and desire her even just in their dreams.

Noong unang panahon, noong bata pa si Araw at noong mga panahong si Bathala mismo ay yumayapak pa sa mundo ng mga mortal, ang tao ay sadyang pagala gala lamang. Kasama ang kanyang kabiyak nilibot nila ang kalupaan upang pumitas ng mga prutas at mga gulay para sa kanilang kakainin.

Alamat ng Palaka

Noong unang panahon, may isang bayan na biniyayaan sa likas na yaman. Sa bayang ito, ang mga pananim ay matataba at hitik sa bunga. Ang kanilang mga gubat ay puno ng mga mababangis na hayop at iba’t ibang klase ng punong kahoy. Ang mga alagang hayop ay matataba at malulusog. Maging ang kanilang mga ilog at batis ay hitik sa mga isda na puwedeng makain. Napakaganda ng lugar at masasabi ng sinumang makakita sa bayang ito na sadya ngang pinagpala ang lugar.

Alamat ng Bulkang Taal

Noong unang panahon, ang bayan ng Tagaytay ay pinamumunuan ng isang matanda ngunit makapanyarihang lalaki. Siya ay nagngangalang Lakan Taal. Iginagalang ng mga taombayan si Lakan Taal sapagkat siya ay matalino at makatarungan sa kanyang pamamahala. Halata nga na isang magaling na pinuno ang matanda sapagkat ang kanilang bayan ay maunlad at maasenso.
